An international logistics and freight organisation has received its first POLAR°STORE™ delivery of a 40ft cold room unit to Singapore to expand cold storage capacity within its freight depot.
The global logistics provider is trusted by pharmaceutical manufacturers around the world to maintain cold chain integrity in the distribution of medicines and vaccines. It needed to quickly increase cold storage capacity at one of its depots in Singapore, to be able to chill down gel packs for transportation of temperature critical pharmaceutical products.
A 40 ft POLAR°STORE™ cold room unit was delivered in late March, seamlessly linking into the depot’s cross docking platform, removing the need for additional warehouse storage and maximising the available space.
Charles Dawson, International Development Director at Dawsongroup | globalWe have a strong track record in delivering temperature control solutions for the pharmaceutical and healthcare supply chains. We were recently able to expand capacity at a depot in Belgium by 44 euro pallets within just three working days from order to delivery, so we were well positioned to support the same organisation at its Singapore operations too
The cold room unit has the ability to chill down to -40 degree Celsius and has increased the temperature controlled storage area by 22 euro pallets. The solution was directly linked into their premises to ensure optimal process flow and overall operational efficiency. Supplied by Dawsongroup | global on a three-year rental basis, it offers a flexible and cost effective solution, with additional peace of mind and reassurance given by a 24/7 support and maintenance package, guaranteed to minimise any downtime.
The POLAR°STORE™ range includes five key models with a temperature range of -70°C to +45°C. The units, which come with the standard features of Dawsongroup | global’s single cold store range, are easily transported and available for hire or purchase throughout the world.
